Event: Clean Up

As part of our community outreach, the Norman O’Brien Division is volunteering to perform a street clean-up on our usual parade route of Washington Avenue between Catalpa and Lincoln. This is planned to be an all day Hibernian affair. We will be starting at 0900 with Mass at St. Mary’s Church (730 S Lafayette Ave), followed by coffee and donuts at the fellowship center from 1000 to 1100. At 1100, once we’ve gathered our fortitude and have changed into appropriate attire, we will spring into action.

As stated above our area of operations will be along Washington Avenue south of Catalpa. We hope to have the Hibernian Bus there in support with music and transport. When we’ve achieved our objective according to Pres. Zannetti, the Division will adjourn to the Royal Oak Brewing Company (215 E 4th St), and segue into our social gathering.

This event is a perfect opportunity to create exposure for the Division’s activities, and will also be a good opportunity to introduce any prospective members. Be sure to wear any Hibernian gear that you may have, and have fun.
